摘要
本研究借助"中国英汉平行语料库",对英语被动式在科技、社科、新闻和文学文体中的汉译形式进行对比考察。首先,本文结合语境论,梳理了语料库翻译学研究的"社会文化语境"研究界面;其次,在上述框架下,考察英语被动式的汉译形式及其在不同文体中的词汇语法和词汇语义特征的分布规律与差异。本文认为,从"社会文化语境"角度出发,不仅可考察被动结构的语言特征,也能充分解读翻译的目的、翻译的过程、源语文本和目标语、译者所处的社会文化语境,弥补了语料库研究缺乏阐释力的不足。
Using the China English-Chinese Parallel Corpus as data,this study investigated the linguistic variation in the translated passive constructions across the genres of science-technology,social-science,journalism and literature.First,we systemically reviewthe socio-cultural context interface in the framework of the Contextualism approach.Then we investigated lexico-grammatical and lexico-semantic regularities and differences of the passive constructions in English-Chinese translations.From the perspective of socio-cultural context,this study bridges the gap of theoretical unclarity by taking account of linguistic features of passive constructions,translation purposes,translation processes,source/target texts,and socio-cultural contexts of translators.
