In the middle route of south-to-North Water Transfer project, ground cracks are developed in the reservoir area of a regulation and storage reservoir under construction, which may affect the normal operation of the reservoir after completion. In order to find out the development of the fractures,high-density electrical method is carried out in area of ground fractures, and the collected data are reasonably interpreted in combination with geological data. The resistivity anomaly of ground fissure is closely related to groundwater, so the high-density resistivity method should be used to detect. Wenner device and MNB device were used for field collection, and three high-density measuring lines were arranged. The high density resistivity method data collected in the field are processed and inverted, and finally the resistivity inversion image is obtained. The interpretation results show that the high-density electrical method is effective in detecting high resistance ground cracks.
