Drama,as an integrated art formed by the integration and interaction of multiple factors, with its abundant information on inter-ethnic communication,is an important carrier for multi-ethnic cultural exchanges, mutual learning and co-creating Chinese culture. The integration of multi-ethnic dramas and the identity function of Chinese culture are important theoretical issues of drama research in China. The innovation of the related research paradigms can be promoted by taking Yunnan as an exemplary case. The study of the integration of multi-ethnic drama and its Chinese cultural identity function should start from three dimensions:it is necessary to analyze the emergence of the integration of multi-ethnic drama comprehensively in the historical context of ethnic cultural exchanges,to explain multi-ethnic drama itself from the perspective of the mutual learning of the repertoire and shared motif, reveal the identity function of Chinese culture of the integration of multi-ethnic drama through the logic of identification and the path to realization. The case of integration of multi-ethnic drama in Yunnan not only reflects the historical facts of all the ethnic groups of China in co-creating Chinese culture, but also mirrors the cultural psychology of their mutual recognition, and plays a unique role in fostering a strong sense of the community of the Chinese nation.
