计算机辅助翻译软件的译后编辑功能探究

Research on the Post-editing Features of Computer-Aided Translation Tools

国外译后编辑研究始于20世纪80年代中期,进入21世纪之后,我国研究者也开始关注译后编辑研究这一领域。然而,现有研究缺乏对主要翻译工作环境(即计算机辅助翻译软件)译后编辑功能的关注。本文以4款主流翻译软件为例,集中探讨了计算机辅助翻译软件的译后编辑功能。研究表明,从机器翻译应用、译后编辑操作和工作流程的角度来看,相较于之前国内外译后编辑研究中提到的其他工具,计算机辅助翻译软件更适合译后编辑工作,是译后编辑的量产工具。此外,人工智能新技术进一步提升了译后编辑的效率和人机交互体验。译后编辑研究和教学应更多探索翻译软件环境,并加大对译后编辑实践和需求的关注力度。

Foreign research on post-editing began in the mid-1980s,while domestic research on this subject began in the early twenty-first century.However,the existing research has failed to pay suffi cient attention to post-editing using computer-aided transla-tion(CAT)tools,which is the main translation environment at present.Therefore,taking four tools as examples,this paper discusses the post-editing features of CAT tools.The research reveals that CAT tools are more suitable for post-editing jobs than other tools,and can be taken as the appropriate mass production tools for post-editing jobs,regardless of whether the perspective is from machine translation applications,post-editing operations,or workfl ows.In addition,new artifi cial intelligence technologies have further improved post-editing effi ciency and human-computer interaction experience.The research on and teaching of post-editing should place more emphasis on the CAT environment,as well as on the practice of and demand for post-editing in the translation industry.
