欧洲大学图书馆数据馆员实践进展研究--以牛津大学图书馆为例

Practice Progress of Data Librarians in European University Library--Taking University of Oxford as an Example

本文总结和分析了牛津大学图书馆数据馆员实践的特点,以求为我国数据馆员的建设提供参考。具体而言,主要通过采用案例研究法、文献调查法、邮件咨询法、网站调查法等对牛津大学图书馆数据馆员的实践现状进行调查,并采用归纳分析方法总结了数据馆员实践的内容和特点。结果发现,数据馆员需要对数据生命周期的各个环节进行管理,需要具备专业的数据管理技能和沟通协作能力来处理数据实务问题,课程培训和经验分享是数据馆员发展的重要方式。

This paper summarizes and analyzes the characteristics of data librarians practice in Oxford University Library,in order to provide reference to the construction of our countryies’librarians.To be specific,this paper investigates the practice status of the data librarians in Oxford University library mainly by using case studies,literature survey,mail consultation and website survey,and summarizes the contents and characteristics of data librarians’practice through inductive analysis.Data librarians need to manage all aspects of the data life cycle and they need to have professional data management skills and communication and collaboration capabilities to deal with data practice problems.Course training and experience sharing is the key to the development of data librarians.
