基于语料库的《金匮要略》英译本语域特征多维分析

A Corpus-based Multidimensional Analysis of Register Features of the Two English Translations of Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber

本文运用多维分析法,对比考察《金匮要略》罗希文译本与阮继源和张光霁译本的语域特征。研究发现,两个英译本在“指称明晰性与情境依赖型指称”和“信息抽象与具体程度”上存在显著差异。罗希文译本的指称明晰性显著强于阮继源和张光霁译本。罗希文译本的信息具体程度较高,阮继源和张光霁译本的信息抽象程度较高。两个英译本在31个语言特征上存在显著差异。本文对中医药典籍翻译具有一定启示。

This study adopts a multidimensional analysis to explore the register features of the two English translations of Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber respectively by Luo Xiwen,and Ruan Jiyuan and Zhang Guangji.The study shows that the two English translations are found to be different in two dimensions,namely explicit versus situation-dependent reference and abstract versus non-abstract information.Luo Xiwen’s translation is significantly stronger than Ruan Jiyuan and Zhang Guangji’s in explicitation.Luo Xiwen’s translation shows a higher degree of non-abstract information,while Ruan Jiyuan and Zhang Guangji’s translation shows a higher degree of abstract information.In addition,there are 31 linguistic features with significant differences between the two English translations.The study has some implications for the translation of traditional Chinese medicine classics.
