追寻古典之光:古典教育的内涵与路径——刘铁芳教授访谈录

摘要 古典教育乃是从古典出发,探寻个体成人的内在典则,进而使之融入当下、开启当下的教育实践形式。倡导古典教育,意在直面当下个体成长中的无根化,给予个体成人以本源性孕育。一方面,它强调“经典研读”作为教育教学和学术研究的根基;另一方面,它提出将“古今对话”作为理解现代教育问题的基本视域。探索古典教育的内涵与实践之路,有助于学生在中西古典的比较中重新找到生命的定位,传承中国精神与中国气派。 Classical education is a form of educational practice that starts from the classics,explores the inner rules of individual adulthood,and then integrates them into the present and enlightens the present.In advocating classical education,we want to face the root lessness of individual growth in the present and give individual adults an original nurturing.On the one hand,it emphasizes“classical study”as the foundation of educat ional teaching and academic research;on the other hand,it proposes“dialogue between the past and the present”as the basic scope for understanding modern educational issues.The study of classical education will help students rediscover the orientation of their lives in the comparison of Chinese and Western classics,and pass on the Chinese spirits and Chinese manners.
