目的论视域下文化负载词与传统典籍引文英译——以《青年要自觉践行社会主义核心价值观》为例

Translating Culture-loaded Terms and Quotations from Traditional Classics into English from the Perspective of Skopos Theory:Taking Young People Should Practice the Core Socialist Values as an Example

通过采用目的论为指导方针,对《习近平谈治国理政》第一卷《青年要自觉践行社会主义核心价值观》一文中的文化负载词与传统文化典籍引文的翻译进行评析。根据分析发现,对于文化负载词的翻译,需要根据不同的语境以及文化背景,选择不同的翻译方法与翻译策略,通过使用“直译+解释法”“意译法”“文化替换法”等多种方法,可以有效处理在外宣目的下的文化负载词和典籍引文的相关翻译问题。

By adopting Skopos Theory,this paper analyzes the translation of culture-loaded terms and quotations from traditional cultural classics in Young people Should Practice the Core Socialist Values in Volume I of Xi Jinping:The Governance of China.By translating of culture-loaded terms,according to the different cultural contexts,the translators need to choose different translation methods and strategies.By using“literal translation plus explanation”,“free translation”and“culture replacing method”,the translator can effectively handle the translation of culture-loaded words as well as classical quotations under the purpose of external publicity.
