生态翻译视域下少数民族民间故事英译实践——以《巴拉根仓的故事》英译为例

Translation Practice of Mogolian Folk Stories From the Perspective of Eco-Translatology:Taking the English Translation of Balagencang’s Stories as an Example

生态翻译理论认为,翻译过程中影响译者的因素主要集中在语言维、文化维和交际维三方面,翻译过程是在这三方面进行适应与选择的过程,也就是实现寻求三个维度平衡的过程。生态翻译观下英译《巴拉根仓的故事》,语言层面的转换,关键要处理好大量蒙古谚语的英译,要充分理解源语的形式与内容,按照译语的语言习惯进行双语间的意义传递与转换;文化维的适应与选择,其实是归化与异化的考量与选择,具体的译法有音译法、音译+释意、直译法等;《巴拉根仓的故事》的英译过程,也是对大量的夸张、对比、比喻等翻译的过程,译者通过调整、变通等方式处理两种语言、两种文化间的对应、对照,最终在译文中取得和原文一样的交际意图,实现原文与译文的语言效力对等。

According to Eco-Translatology,there are mainly three factors affecting the translator in the translation process,which can be defined as the dimensions of language,culture and communication.Translation is processing by seeking the balance of the three dimensions.From the perspective of Eco-Translatology,on the language level of transformation of Balagencang’s Stories,a large number of Mongolian proverbs should be dealt with carefully,by fully understanding the form and the content of the source language to convey the meaning based on the language habits of the target language.The adaptation and choice in cultural dimension is actually the consideration and the choice of domestication and alienation.The specific translation methods include transliteration,transliteration+interpretation,and literal translation.The process of translating Balagencang’s Stories into English is also a process of transforming a large number of exaggerations,contrasts and metaphors.The translator deals with the correspondence and the contrast between the two languages and cultures through adjustment and adaptation,and finally obtains the equivalent communicative intentions,so as to realize the equivalence of language effectiveness between the two languages.
