Under the background of the increasing development of new media technology,the teaching reform of ideological and political course in colleges and universities has obtained new technical support,and the teaching ideas have also been developed and innovated.How to efficiently implement the ideological and political teaching reform in colleges and universities based on new media technology has become an important research topic for ideological and political teachers in colleges and universities.This paper introduces the concept and characteristics of new media,discusses the necessity of the application of new media in college ideological and political teaching,analyzes the problems existing in the application of new media in college ideological and political teaching,and explores the principles and strategies to be followed in the application of new media in college ideological and political teaching.
