Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of severe diabetic foot infection. Methods A total of 102 patients with severe diabetic foot who were treated in Nanchang Hongdu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2018 to January 2020 were selected and divided into the control group and observation group according to random sampling method, with 51 patients in each group. The control group was given conventional treatment, while the observation group was given conventional treatment combined with fumigation and washing. After 30 days of continuous treatment, the clinical efficacy, blood glucose level and disease recurrence of the 2 groups were observed and compared. Results After 30 days of treatment, the total effective rate of patients in the observation group(90.20%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(74.51%),and the differences in FBG,2hPG and HbA1c after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of the observation group(3.92%)was lower than that of the control group(15.69%)(P<0.05).Conclusion Chinese medicine fumigation as an auxiliary treatment for severe diabetic foot infection not only has a significant effect, but also can effectively improve the blood glucose level and reduce the incidence of disease recurrence.
