Ideological and political education plays an irreplaceable role in educating people and fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering morality and cultivating talents.Based on colleges and universities’current mission and challenges ahead in ideological and political education,the concept of wholeness can be used as a guiding concept for innovative development.Through integrating the teaching resources,expanding the practice platform,creating an integrated pattern,ideological and political education in colleges and universities would better adapt to the new task of education development and the new requirements of talent cultivation in the new era.
