The Historical Role,Basic Experience and Prospect of Rural Vocational Education in the Past Century of the Communist Party of China

中国共产党成立百年来始终重视农村、农业和农民问题,并把农村职业教育作为解决"三农"问题的重要途径之一。不同历史时期农村职业教育在唤醒农民救国意识、促进农业生产发展、深化农村改革、脱贫攻坚等方面发挥了重要作用,始终坚持为农民谋幸福,通过开办夜校、建立农业技术站、实施百万中专生计划等形式对农民进行扫盲教育,普及农业技术、提升文化教育水平;始终坚持农业基础地位不动摇,为农业发展培养专业人才;在服务乡村建设过程中不断进行农村教育综合改革实验、建立并完善农村职业教育体系、开展形式多样的精准扶贫化解农村贫困。在新的征程中,农村职业教育的功能将逐步走向多元化,面向农业全产业链培养复合型专业人才,也必将在服务乡村振兴、实现农业现代化及提升农民致富能力等方面起到积极推动作用。

In the centenary history,the Communist Party of China has always attached great importance to the problems of rural areas,agriculture and farmers,and regarded rural vocational education as one of the important solutions to the problems above.In different historical periods,rural vocational education has been crutial in arousing farmers’awareness of saving the country,promoting the development of agricultural production,deepening rural reform,and poverty alleviation.With its focus fixed on farmers’well-being and happiness,it helps farmers to get rid of illiteracy,receive better education and have access to agricultural technologies by building evening schools,agro-technical stations,and implementing Millions of Technical Secondary School Students Program.To unswervingly uphold the fundamental role of agriculture,it helps to train professional talents for agriculture.In the service for rural construction,educators have been conducting constant trials on comprehensive reform on rural vocational education,establishing and perfecting the rural vocational education system,and pursuing multiple educational plans for targeted poverty alleviation.In the new era,the rural vocational education will engage in services for countryside in multiple levels,and helps train inter-disciplinary professional talents for the whole industrial chain.It will certainly play a positive role in rural revitalization,agricultural modernization,and improving farmers’ability to get rich.
