1946年的异乡之旅,不仅是张爱玲生涯中鲜有的中国乡村之行,也是其重要的情感之旅。《异乡记》通过"深入内地"、"回家来了"与"重到‘太虚幻境’"等叙事者对空间的不同体认与表述,提示了"异乡"的多维面相:既是作为城市与现代文明对立面的"他乡",又是承载着民族文化记忆的"原乡",同时也是叙事者内心隐秘所营构的"梦乡"。如此缝合了乡村经历、民族文化想象和个人情感记忆等多重叙事线索的异乡,构成了张爱玲文学版图上又一个意义非凡的座标。
