In this study, the relationship of body length and weight, and gonadal related characteristics of Triplophysa brevicauda in the Xialuo National Wetland Park were analyzed to provide scientific basis for the resources protection and utilization of T.brevicauda.136 samples of T.brevicauda were collected in the reaches of the Zhabu River of Xialuo National Wetland Park in November 2020 and measured the body length and weight. The results showed that body length and body weight of T.brevicauda were mainly concentrated in 60∼70 mm and 2∼3 g,respectively. The relationship between body length and body weight of females and males showed a power function, but the difference in the power function between females and males was significant(P<0.01).The relationship between body length and body weight could be expressed as W_(♀)=0.0001L^(2.4547)(R^(2)=0.8482)for female and W_(♂)=0.0004L^(2.1612)(R^(2)=0.759)for male, the b value of male and female fish was significantly different from theoretical uniform growth value of 3(P<0.05)and an allometric growth was detected in both male and female groups within the group sex ratio of 0.6/1 in male to female. The gonadal-somatic index, fatness and hepatosomatic index of females were significantly higher than those of male fish.
