Shandong's Archaeological Explorations over Past Century

百年来,几代中国考古人兢兢业业、上下求索,踏遍华夏河山,不断编织着古代文化和社会的经纬蓝图。作为中国考古的一分子,山东考古也走过了同样历程。

The archaeology of Shandong began with the discovery of the Chengzi Cliff Site in 1928.During the excavation,a new archaeological culture-Longshan culture was discovered,ancient city site was discovered for the first time in field work,and China’sfirst collection of reports on field archaeology was compiled and published;in addition,in terms of field archaeology work methods,an important step was made towards science and normalization.
