摘要
辞书一般释“斤斤计较”为“过分计较无关紧要的小事”,对于“斤斤”的含义,各家见仁见智,众说纷纭。经考证,“斤斤计较”的对象涉及应当着意者、可有可无者和本可忽略者,所关乎的事情可大可小,并非仅限于“无关紧要的小事”“琐碎的小事”。“斤斤”的“过分着意”义由“谨慎”义引申而来,而“谨慎”义又源于“兢兢”。
Dictionaries generally explain“jīnjīnjìjiào(斤斤计较)”as“excessive calculation of insignificant things”,for the meaning of“jīnjīn(斤斤)”,different opinions vary.This paper holds that the object of“jīnjīnjìjiào(斤斤计较)”involves those who should be concerned,those who can be dispensed with and those who can be ignored,and the matters concerned can be large or small,not limited to trivial matters.The meaning of“excessive care”in“jīnjīn(斤斤)”is derived from the meaning of“caution”,while the meaning of“caution”originates from“jīngjīng(兢兢)”.
