性别对自然口语中两岸模糊限制语使用的影响

The Role of Gender in the Use of Linguistic Hedgesin Natural Spoken Language between Taiwan and Mainland

模糊限制语是言语交际的重要语用策略,基于两岸汉语的口语会话语料,实证调查了两岸男性和女性模糊限制语使用的异同。结果显示,性别和地域交互影响着两岸模糊限制语的使用,这主要体现为以下两个方面:一是性别在两岸的影响程度有所不同,台湾青年人模糊限制语使用的性别差异较大陆更明显;二是男性和女性模糊限制语使用的具体差异在两岸有所不同,两岸汉语语料中,使用呈显著性别差异的模糊限制语差别明显。可是男性语料和女性语料中,使用呈显著地域差异的模糊限制语却具有较强的一致性,这说明地域比性别更影响两岸模糊限制语的使用。

Linguistic hedge is an important pragmatic strategy in verbal communication.Based on the cross-strait spoken Chinese corpus,this paper empirically investigates the similarities and differences in the use of hedges between men and women on both sides of the Strait.The results show that the interaction between gender and region affects the use of hedges on both sides of the Strait,which is mainly reflected in the following two aspects:First,the influence of gender in the hedges used by young people in Taiwan is more obvious than that in the Mainland.Second,the hedges with gender differences in Taiwan are obviously different from those in the Mainland.However,there is a strong consistency in the use of hedges with significant regional differences in the male and female corpus,which indicates that the use of hedges on both sides of the Taiwan Strait is affected more by region than by gender.
