On October 20,CIIS President Xu Bu attended the tenth meeting of China-Africa Think Tank Forum,and gave a keynote speech at the event’s first plenary session.Sponsored by the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-Up Action Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation(FOCAC),and co-organized by Zhejiang Normal University,the Foreign Affairs Office of Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar,the meeting was attended by more than 200 representatives from Chinese and African political,academic and business communities.In his speech,Xu Bu stressed the significance of China-Africa solidarity and cooperation amid the raging pandemic and the setbacks in the world economy and globalization,and expressed the willingness of CIIS to promote in-depth understanding between the two sides by think tank exchanges.
