The audience’s unique aesthetic experience while watching war movies depends on people’s special psychological motivations, and the theory about death instinct put forward by Freud in his later research largely fits the explanation of the mechanism of this unique aesthetic experience.Through the psychoanalysis of how people accept the direct expression of destruction and death in war movies,as well as its artistic treatment for acceptance by civilized society, the operating process of this aesthetic mechanism will be able to be clarified. This kind of explanation will have a certain enlightenment for understanding why scenes that cannot be enjoyed aesthetically in daily life, such as destruction and death, become objects of artistic expression in movies.
