Some Thoughts on Teaching in Classical Chinese Course

文章从文和道两个方面对古代汉语课的讲授提出了自己的看法和建议。文的方面主要包括强调认写繁体字、乐读白文和淡化语法、不汲汲于文白对照。道的方面则主张渗透阴阳五行思维,避免受西方二元对立哲学支配;回归传统心物合一观念,以培植学生的诚敬之心。

This paper discusses the ideas and thoughts on teaching of classical Chinese course from the aspects of Wen(classical writing style and traditional Chinese characters)and Dao(the moral values).In terms of Wen it emphasizes that the students be encouraged to write in traditional Chinese,and read in simplified Chinese and be slackened off Chinese grammar,without highlighting literary contrast between classical Chinese and modern Chinese.In terms of Dao,the paper advocates students sticking to Yin-Yang and Five Elements Thinking,avoiding being manipulated by philosophy of“binary opposition”.Thus,the students can retreat to the traditional concept of unity of mind and matter,and their sincerity and loyalty can be cultivated.
