A Study on the Cultural-identity Community in Ethnic American Literature

美国的几大少数族裔都在移民或迁徙过程中经历过旧身份的解构和新身份的建构。他们从原有的族裔文化中走出来,慢慢适应美国白人文化,形成新的文化共同体。这一新的共同体与旧的社群既有联系,又有区别。总结美国族裔文学在文化共同体中构建民族身份的模式,探索作品人物平衡传统族裔身份与同化后的美国身份、并进一步形成杂糅文化身份的方法,对构建人类命运共同体具有借鉴意义。

Several major ethnic minorities in the United States have experienced the deconstruction of old identity and the construction of new identity in the process of immigration and migration.They came out of the original ethnic culture,slowly adapted to the American White culture and formed a new cultural community.The new community has both connections with and differences from the old one.This paper summarizes the model of ethnicAmerican literature in building national identity in the cultural community and explores the way to balance the traditional ethnic identity with the assimilated American identity and to further form a hybrid cultural identity,which is of reference significance for building the community of human destiny.
