Inheritance and Development:Comparison between Xi Jinping’s and Mao Zedong’s Views on Integrity

习近平和毛泽东都极其重视反腐倡廉建设,形成了各具特色的廉政观。他们的廉政观有着共同的理论渊源,在反腐倡廉实践中有着共同的目标使命、共同的价值皈依、共同的态度决心和共同的思想核心。习近平结合新的时代特征,创新发展了毛泽东廉政思想:从毛泽东的“群众运动”到新时代法制反腐,实现了治理理念转向;改革党内巡视制度,创新了腐败治理机制;协同推进全面深化改革与反腐败斗争,创新了腐败治理思路;实行国内国际双打击,打虎拍蝇猎狐全覆盖,拓展了腐败治理场域。

Both Xi Jinping and Mao Zedong have attached great importance to the construction of anti-corruption and integrity,forming their views on integrity with different features.Their views on integrity show common sources in theory,common goal and mission in practice,common orientation in value,common attitudes and resolutions,and common core thoughts.Xi Jinping,combining with new features of the era,innovated and developed Mao Zedong’s thoughts on integrity,including,realizing the change of idea of ruling with law from“the people’s movement”promoted by Mao Zedong to the anti-corruption and ruling with law in the new era,innovating ruling mechanism against corruption by reforming the system of inspection within the Party,innovating thoughts on governing corruption by comprehensively promoting over-all reform and the struggle of anti-corruption,broadening the field of anti-corruption by conducting punishment on officials at all levels both home and abroad.
