The integration of Xi Jinping′s important expositions on hygiene and health into the teaching of the course“Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics”for medical students is not only an urgent need to refine the“three integrations”of Xi Jinping′s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,but also an internal requirement to enhance medical students′sense of mission and responsibility in building a healthy China and promote the ideological and political course in medical colleges to implement the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people.Based on the multiple perspectives of history,theory,international and culture,Xi Jinping′s important expositions on hygiene and health are integrated into the innovative teaching content of the relevant chapters of the“Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics”course,and at the same time,we strive to promote the innovation of teaching forms of“selection+expansion”,“cognition+practice”and“teaching+discussion”,so as to achieve the the training goals of the“Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics”course and stimulate the ideological consciousness of medical students to devote themselves to the construction of a healthy China.Therefore,they can better shoulder the mission of the“gatekeeper"of people′s health in the era of national rejuvenation.
