Objective:To observe effects of Group B Streptococcus(GNS)infection on maternal-infant outcomes of pregnant women.Methods:268 late pregnant women were selected as the research subjects, and they were all tested for bacterial culture. The GBS carrying rate was observed.According to whether they were infected with GBS,they were divided into GBS positive group and GBS negative group. The incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes and the incidence of adverse neonatal outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results:Among the 268 pregnant women,29 cases were GBS positive, and the GBS carrying rate was 10.82%(29/268).The incidences of premature rupture of membranes(PROM),fetal distress(FD),and intrauterine infection(IAI)in the GBS positive group were significantly higher than those in the GBS negative group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse neonatal outcomes in the GBS positive group was 34.48%,which was significantly higher than the 12.97%in the GBS negative group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:GBS infection in the late pregnant women can increase the incidence of PROM,FD,IAI and the incidence of adverse neonatal outcomes.
