PPT is one of the most frequently used informational tools in education field.It is an effective helper for teacher if used correctly.The paper points out that college English teachers in higher vocational and technical colleges should bring the advantages of PPT into full play,make multimodal PPT on the basis of students’cognitive ability and properly handle the relation between textbook and PPT.
