我国社会经济发展进入新时代,生态环境问题越来越得到社会各界广泛关注,对生态保护和建设的系统研究也逐步加强。沈国舫先生是中国工程院院士、原副院长,长期在林业、生态、环境领域开展理论研究和政策咨询,在生态保护和建设方面进行了较为系统的研究和论述。他认为生态保护和建设应以人与自然和谐发展为基础,应从客观发展规律和我国本土特色出发,提出生态保护和建设的综合措施,对自然生态系统和人工生态系统分类施策。这为我国生态和环境领域的重大政策制定、重大工程实施和国际交流合作提供了决策支撑,为我国生态保护和建设事业贡献了具有针对性的、值得借鉴的新的理论和方法。

China's social and economic development has entered a new era,with increased attention from all walks of life on the ecological environment,and the systematic research on ecological protection and construction has been also gradually strengthened.As one of the key members of a series of national think tanks and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering,Professor Shen Guofang has carried out theoretical research and policy consultation in the fields of forestry,ecology and environment for a long time.He believes that ecological conservation and construction should be based on the harmonious development of human and nature,conform to the objective law of development as well as China's own characteristics,integrate the measures of ecological protection and construction,and implement classified policies for natural ecosystem and artificial ecosystem.These new theories have been applied to the major policy-making,major project implementation,and international exchange and cooperation in the field of ecology and environment in China.
