Cultural default is inevitable in the translation of folk culture.To better solve the problem of cultural default in the translation is of vital importance to the spread of folk culture at home and abroad.This paper mainly discusses cultural default in the translation of folk culture and its theoretical basis,and further puts forward the principles of folk culture translation,focusing on the analysis of the specific strategies of cultural compensation in the translation of folk culture,in order to provide some reference to the translation of folk culture in the future.
