Preliminary Discussion on Japan’s Claim to Xisha Islands and Its Influences(1917—1952)

西沙群岛是中国无可争议的领土,自古以来我国无数先民在这里经营、开发,到处都有中国人生活的痕迹。近代以来,西方列强和日本瞄准了这里的资源,企图进一步占有。日本势力入侵西沙群岛的过程中保留了大量文献资料,证明了西沙群岛是中国的固有领土,为西沙群岛属于中国提供了新的史料证据。

Xisha Islands are China’s undisputed territory.Since ancient times,countless Chinese ancestors have operated and developed on them,and there are traces of Chinese residences.During the modern times,the western countries and Japan wanted the resources and attempted to occupy these islands.During Japanese forces’invasion of Xisha Islands,a large number of documents had been retained,which have proved that Xisha Islands are China’s inherent territory and provided the new historical evidence that Xisha Islands belong to China.
