Analysis on Injury Death of the Elderly in Linyi from 2015 to 2019

目的:分析2015—2019年临沂市≥65岁老年人因伤害死亡状况,探讨其变化趋势和特征,为更好地开展老年人伤害防控和干预工作提供参考。方法:提取2015—2019年临沂市≥65岁老年人的伤害死因监测数据进行统计分析。结果:2015—2019年临沂市≥65岁老年人伤害死亡率为125.64/10万,标化死亡率为122.79/10万;男性老年居民伤害死亡率高于同年女性伤害死亡率,且伤害死亡率随着年龄增长而逐步升高。不同年龄组男性居民伤害死亡率均高于女性。道路交通事故、自杀、意外跌落、意外中毒和淹溺为临沂市老年人群前5位伤害死因,占老年人群伤害总死亡人数的87.15%。随着年龄的增长,意外跌落所造成的老年人死亡率呈明显上升趋势。结论:伤害正严重危害着临沂市老年人的健康和生命安全,应尽快采取有效措施,开展老年人伤害防控和干预工作。

OBJECTIVE To analyze the death status of the elderly over 65 years old in Linyi from 2015 to 2019 due to injury, to explore its changing trends and characteristics, and to provide reference for better prevention and control of elderly injuries. METHODS Data of death causes of injuries among the elderly over 65 years old in Linyi were retrieved from monitoring database recorded from 2015 to 2019, and were statistically analyzed. RESULTS The injury mortality rate of the elderly over 65 years old in Linyi from2015 to 2019 was 125.64/100 000, and the standardized mortality rate was 122.79/100 000. Male elderly injury death rate was higher than female injury death rate in the same year, and the injury mortality rate gradually increased with age. The mortality rate of male residents in different age groups was higher than that of female. Road traffic accidents, suicides, accidental falls, accidental poisoning and drowning were the top five death causes of injuries among the elderly in Linyi, accounting for 87.15% of the total injury deaths. The mortality rate of the elderly caused by accidental falls increased by age. CONCLUSION Injuries were seriously endangering the health and life safety of the elderly in Linyi, and effective measures should be taken as soon as possible to carry out prevention and control of elderly injuries and interventions.
