宋仁宗在《宋史》中体现出的是“仁君”“孝子”的正面形象,然而在大量宋人笔记小说中却呈现出更为多样的特点:既有“仁孝俭朴”“豁达善纳”“重才惜才”政治人物的正面优秀品格,也有“喜好书艺”的文人品性,更有“好色喜酒”的负面德行。足见宋人笔记有别于正史一味称颂的写法,对宋仁宗的记载褒贬皆备,更为丰富,甚至更为客观。宋人笔记对今人全面客观地分析评判宋仁宗其人有重要的价值。

SONG Renzong embodied the positive image of"benevolent monarch"and"filial son"in"History of the Song Dynasty",but in a large number of Novels of the Song Dynasty,it presents more diverse characteristics.SONG Renzong had the positive and outstanding character of political figures of"benevolence,filial piety,frugality,""open-mindedness",and"valuing talents and cherishing talents",as well as the literary character of"loving calligraphy"and the negative virtues of"pruriency and alcoholism".It can be seen that the writing style of the novels of the SONG Dynasty is different from that of the official history.It is not blindly praised,and the records of SONG Renzong are both commendatory and derogatory.It is richer and even more objective.The novels of the Song Dynasty can help modern people to analyze and judge SONG Renzong comprehensively and objectively.
