On October 25,1971,the 26th United Nations General Assembly passed Resolution 2758 by an overwhelming majority,restoring the lawful seat of the People’s Republic of China in the United Nations(UN).Over the past 50 years,China has remained deeply involved in the cause of the UN and has firmly supported the UN in playing a greater role in international affairs with practical actions.China has consistently acted as a builder of world peace,a contributor to global development,a defender of the international order,and a supporter of the UN cause.China has actively delivered its views and policy proposals on international affairs in the UN arena,making the voice of Chinese diplomacy heard by the world and its status and influence in the UN and the international community keep rising.
