Viewpoint on Chinese oil companies’technological innovation under the new situation

中国石油企业发展面临着绿色低碳转型、能源技术创新活跃、科技自立自强势在必行等新形势。要充分认识能源技术创新的长周期性与复杂性,立足油气,持续创新。强化目标导向类基础研究,保障科技自立自强;加快科技成果转化,促进技术价值实现;推进数字化、智能化技术的应用。积极求变,主动拥抱低碳技术创新,用户主导,开发应用可再生能源,推进生产用能清洁替代;示范引领,利用技术优势与空间优势拓展低碳业务;把握前沿,保持对能源领域新技术的密切关注。

In recent years,Chinese oil companies are facing new situations such as green and low-carbon transition,active energy technological innovation,and the imperative of self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology.In this paper,it is argued that Chinese oil companies need to fully understand the long-cycle nature and complexity of energy technological innovation and carry out continuous innovation in oil and gas under the new situations.Special efforts could be made in three aspects:firstly,strengthening goal-oriented basic research to achieve technological self-sufficiency and self-improvement;secondly,promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements to realize the technology value;thirdly,promoting the application of digital and intelligent technology in the oil and gas business to empower the oil industry.At the same time,oil companies also need to actively seek changes and embrace low-carbon technological innovation in three aspects:firstly,developing and applying renewable energy and promoting clean energy substitution in production as final consumers;secondly,using technical and spatial advantages to expand low-carbon business by demonstration projects;thirdly,grasping the frontier and keeping a close eye on new technologies in the energy field.
