Objective To analyze the value of CT histogram parameters in evaluating the effect of chemotherapy in patients with liver metastasis of rectal cancer. Methods A total of 114 patients with liver metastasis of rectal cancer who underwent chemotherapy in Shangqiu Central Hospital from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected as the research subjects.Observe and record the chemotherapy effect of patients during four courses of chemotherapy and divid them into effective group and ineffective group. The baseline data and CT histogram parameters(variance,99th percentile, span, entropy)of patients at the end of chemotherapy were investigated and recorded. The value of CT histogram parameters in evaluating the effect of chemotherapy in patients with liver metastasis of rectal cancer was analyzed. Results After 4 courses of chemotherapy among all 114 patients,22 cases were ineffective, accounting for 19.30%.The parameter span and entropy value of CT histogram of patients in the ineffective group were larger than those in the effective group(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of single and combined detection of CT histogram parameter span and entropy in evaluating the effect of chemotherapy in patients with liver metastasis of rectal cancer were 0.859,0.844 and 0.869,respectively,which had certain evaluation value. Conclusion CT histogram parameters have certain value in evaluating the effect of chemotherapy in patients with liver metastasis of rectal cancer.
