The Cultural Consciousness of China’s Charities

本刊自开设“公益理论与公益实践”栏目以来,先后从本土的公益实践路径、公益组织方式、公益与社会主体互动等角度,推动对中国公益本土化道路的讨论,并在公益界引起强烈反响。本期,我们着眼于公益领域的当下,从不同角度深化对上述问题的理解。针对当前慈善领域的混乱与喧嚣,韩俊魁的文章深入历史比较中西慈善,指出今天的中国慈善失去了共同体慈善的立足基础,也缺乏现代组织化慈善与“新慈善”的适宜土壤,只有通过再造共同体,借鉴组织化慈善,中国慈善方能保护它的生命力。

Indigenization of research on charity was emphasized in China recently. But indigenization is not the same as cultural consciousness. Community-based charity, organized charity and derivative charity compose all contents of charity culture on three different levels from historical perspective. These three kinds of charities exist in Chinese cultures as well as Western cultures, but the positions and compositive principles are quite different. Balance must be achieved among three kinds of charities in China now.
