周煌年谱简编

A Brief Chronicle of Zhou Huang

周煌,清中叶四川涪州人,官至都察院左都御史,曾出使琉球,督学江浙,桃李满门,著作等身。本谱以《涪陵周氏家谱》为主要资料,参考其他档案文献,旁征周煌诸多亲友、交友诗文别集、方志等编撰而成。周煌身后,有墓志、行述等传记文字存世,然其多为粗笔勾勒。今勒此年表,岁仅一二条,力弊枝蔓,俾呈现周煌一生仕途、交游之概况。

Zhou Huang,a native of Fuzhou,Sichuan Province in the middle of the Qing Dynasty,was the imperial censor in the Department of Supervision.He was an envoy to Ryukyu and the director of education in Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces.This genealogy is mainly based on the genealogy of the Zhou family in Fuling.Referring to other archives,it is compiled by collecting many poems and local chronicles of Zhou Huang's relatives and friends.After Zhou Huang's death,there are epitaphs,narratives and other biographical texts.However,most of them are simple and crude works.This chronology has only one or two entries each year,leaving important contents,hoping to present the general situation of Zhou Huang's official career and friends.
