Survey and Restoration of Pingding City Site in Shanxi

平定城自宋初迁至现址后沿用至今,本文结合实地调查和平定地方志等文献资料,梳理平定城内多个主要建置的历史沿革,推断其位置,并在此基础上对明代后期至清代平定州城的基本格局进行复原。本文进一步探讨了平定城地理位置的重要战略意义,及其作为微地貌影响下的山地城的营建特点,阐释相关因素对城市形态布局的影响。

Pingding City has been in use since the early Song Dynasty when it was moved to its present location.This paper combines field research and local documents such as Pingding’s local chronicles to sort out the historical history of several major structures in Pingding City,deduce their locations,and on this basis,recover the basic pattern of Pingding Prefecture from the late Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.This paper further discusses the strategic importance of the location of Pingding City and its characteristics as a mountainous city under the influence of micro-landscapes and explains the influence of related factors on the layout of the city.
