Rout Beyond the“Besieged City”—On the Novella Ji Yuan and Tang Misheng by Ah-Yuan

阿袁的中篇小说《姬元与汤弥生》继续关注高校女性的婚恋情感,但相比此前的同类小说却有所超越。主人公姬元作为一位高校女老师一直追求心目中“形而上”的精神之爱,结果却陷入三重意想不到的溃败境地:一是精神之爱的溃败;二是回归“传统”的破灭;三是女性间友情的崩塌。可见,象牙塔里的知识女性如何面对情感困境涅槃重生依旧是一个历久弥新的话题,而阿袁对此的挖掘和探索也具有深刻的现实意义。

The novella Ji Yuan and Tang Misheng by Ah-Yuan continues to write the feelings of college women,but it is something new about the same kind writing.As a female college teacher,Ji Yuan,the protagonist of the novella,has been pursuing the metaphysical spiritual love in her mind,but she fell into a triple unexpected rout:first,the rout of spiritual love;second,failure of returning to the tradition;third,collapse of friendship among women.It reflects that how the intellectual women in the ivory tower face the emotional dilemma and reborn from nirvana is still a long-standing topic,and Ah-Yuan’s excavation and exploration of this topic also has profound practical significance.
