摘要
韩振华曾指出古代南海交通贸易中出现的复杂的雇佣关系,这在近代时期也有所体现。客轮航运作为近代南海航运事业的重要组成部分,其具有的特征也广泛存在于中国南洋航运之中。厦门—南洋航线具有中国近代远洋航运业的一些基础特质。这包括外籍轮船公司比例大、客轮票价畸高、准点率差等多种负面特征。这是监管失职和近代南海交通中西方殖民统治者占据话语权的体现。
The complex employment relations in the ancient South China Sea traffic trade discussed in Han Zhenhua’s treatise are also reflected in modern times.As an important part of modern South China Sea shipping industry,passenger ship shipping has its own characteristics which widely exist in China’s Nanyang shipping industry.Xiamen-Nanyang route has some basic characteristics of China’s modern ocean shipping industry.These characteristics include many negative features,such as foreign shipping companies occupying a large proportion,abnormally high fares,poor punctuality rate and so on,which are essentially the embodiment of dereliction of duty in supervision and Western colonists occupying the right to speak in modern South China Sea traffic.
