叶适的认识论思想理解辨误

Analysis of Misunderstandings of Ye Shi’s Epistemological Thought

叶适的世界观与唯物主义颇接近,但是他的认识论思想呈现出更大的复杂性,并不能与唯物主义认识论简单地一一对应。学界对叶适的认识论思想存在一些误解,澄清实有必要。比如,叶适对“格物致知”的阐发,并没有形成“人的认识来源于客观世界”的思想;叶适所谓“内外交相成”的思想,也并没有从感性认识上升到理性认识的意思;叶适所谓“弓矢从的”,也并不是指“思想符合于客观实际”的认识方法,而是属于知行关系的范畴。

Ye Shi’s world-view is quite close to that of materialism,but his epistemological thought is more complex,and cannot be simply seen as equal to the materialistic epistemology.There are some misunderstandings about Ye Shi’s epistemology in academia,which need to be clarified.For example,Ye Shi’s interpretation of“investigating things to attain knowledge”did not form the idea that“human knowledge comes from the objective world”;Ye Shi’s thought of“inner and outer worlds complement each other”also does not mean that perceptual knowledge should rise to rational knowledge;Ye Shi’s so-called“the bow and the arrow should point at the target”does not refer to the method of epistemology that“thought conforms to objective reality”,but belongs to the category of relation between knowledge and action.
