闽南红砖厝砖雕作为传统工艺雕刻,是民居建筑装饰之一,也是闽南特色地域文化的有机载体。从文化学、社会心理学角度,分析红砖厝砖雕的发生与发展,从而凸显其材料、技艺、题材、风格四个方面的地域特征;从需求层次论角度,揭示其所蕴含的物质实用功能、装饰美学功能、纳吉迎祥功能及人文教化功能。深入研究闽南红砖厝砖雕的地域性特征与功能,对传承保护这项传统技艺,促进其产业化发展,以及作为地方文化符号应用于相关领域,均有积极的现实意义。

As a traditional craft carving,the brick carving of red brick house in Southern Fujian is one of the architectural decoration of folk houses and an organic carrier of regional culture with southern Fujian characteristics.From the perspective of culturology and social psychology,the article analyzes the occurrence and development of brick carvings in red brick houses from three aspects:historical conditions,geographical factors and cultural diversity,highlights the regional characteristics of their materials,skills,themes and styles,and revealsits practical function,decorative aesthetic function,auspicious blessing function andhumanistic education function.An in-depth study of the regional characteristics and functions of brick carving in red brick houses in Southern Fujian is of positive practical significance for inheriting and protecting this traditional skill,promoting its industrial development,and applying it in related fields as a local cultural symbol.
