How far is the future of exosomes from the laboratory to the clinic?

摘要 外泌体是细胞主动向胞外分泌的纳米级双层膜结构囊泡, 携带大量生物活性物质, 可作为载体在细胞间发挥物质传递和信息交流的作用。近年来, 外泌体已成为生物医学研究的前沿热点, 在疾病实验室诊断和临床治疗领域显示出广阔的应用前景。但总体来说, 大部分外泌体相关研究尚处于实验室研究阶段, 其分离富集、技术操作规范和质量控制等方面仍存在许多问题和挑战, 同时亟需开展多中心、大样本临床试验, 为外泌体真正从实验室走向临床应用提供证据。 Exosomes are nano-scale double-layer membrane structure vesicles that can be actively secreted by cells.They carry a large amount of biologically active substances and can serve as carriers for material transfer and information exchange between cells.In recent years,exosomes have become a frontier hotspot in biomedical research,and show broad application prospects in the field of laboratory diagnosis and clinical treatment of diseases.However,in general,most exosomes-related researchs are still in the laboratory research stage,and there are still many problems and challenges in separation and enrichment,technical operation specifications,and quality control.At the same time,it is urgent to carry out multi-center,large-sample clinical trials to provide evidence for exosomes from the laboratory to the clinical application.
