摘要
软新闻的特点决定了其翻译不单是一个从源语到译入语的语言转换过程,更是一个根据译语文化不断调整,使受众更容易接受的过程。因此,传统的"对等"翻译标准和方法时常会在软新闻的翻译中失效,译者应在翻译过程中以实现译文的预期功能为主要目标,在不同的语境中选取相对最佳的翻译方法。汉语软新闻的翻译实际上是编译的工作,可以通过可删减无效信息、改变表达方式和增加背景解释得以很好地实现。
The features of soft news decide its translation is not only a linguistic conversion between Source Language(SL) and Target Language(TL),but often a specialized adjustment process depending on the target culture,which makes the translation more acceptable for target readers.So,the traditional translation criteria and techniques sometimes come to failure in soft news translation.Focusing on the study of soft news translation from Chinese into English,this thesis concludes the specific methods of editing translation and the applications through analyzing some texts.
