摘要
"越界的第一人称叙述"是迈克尔·夏邦在《神秘匹兹堡》中使用的非自然叙事技巧,凸显人物叙事者的"契约型不可靠性"。小说使用不可靠叙述书写了一部当代美国"反成长小说",通过主人公的视角透视了当代美国梦,呈现了主人公在即将步入成年之时对爱情的渴望、性别身份的困惑、家庭的失望等,叙述了后大屠杀时代背景下犹太个体即将步入成年之时的创伤心理与复杂的人生体验。不可靠叙述旨在彰显小说的隐含作者:主人公这类背离美国社会主流价值的人群要承受来自家庭及社会等各方面的压力,经历更为复杂和艰辛的成长过程。
Michael Chabon ’s The Mysteries of Pittsburgh uses "transgressive first person narration " to foreground the character narrator ’s unnatural "Bonding Unreliability ". The novel uses unreliable narration to write a modern American"anti-bildungsroman",reflects on the modern American dream from the protagonist’s perspective,and narrates his complicated life experiences and psychological trauma at the time when he is reaching adulthood in the post-Holocaust age,and his concerns over love,gender and family.
