摘要
采用真空蒸馏法对高纯镱靶材边角料金属镱进行了提纯,研究温度、时间对金属镱收率、表面质量的影响。结果表明,20.52 kg高纯镱靶材边角料,在真空度小于1 Pa,830℃条件下,蒸馏时间3h可实现金属镱与钛屑的分离,金属镱蒸出率达到95.1%。金属镱夹杂较多,不适宜继续作为靶材原料使用。通过对第一次分离所得金属镱19.5 kg二次蒸馏提纯,在真空度小于1 Pa,650℃条件下,蒸馏时间7 h可实现金属镱与夹带杂质的分离。金属镱纯度(Yb/TRE)为99.99%(质量分数),金属镱蒸出率为98.35%。利用电镜扫描对二次残留于坩埚底粉进行了分析,结果表明,杂质主要为Yb及Al、Fe的氧化物。
Ytterbium metal scrap from high purity ytterbium target was purified by vacuum distillation,and the effects of temperature and time on the yield and surface quality of Ytterbium metal were studied.The results showed that 20.52 kg of high purity Ytterbium target scrap could be separated from titanium scrap by distillation at 830℃for 3 hours under the condition of vacuum less than 1 Pa,and the evaporation rate of Ytterbium metal could reach 95.1%.There were many inclusions in ytterbium metal,so it is not suitable to continue to be used as target material.By secondary distillation and purification of 19.5 kg of ytterbium metal obtained from the first separation,the separation of ytterbium metal from entrained impurities could be realized under the conditions of vacuum less than 1 Pa and distillation time of 7 hours at 650℃.The purity of ytterbium metal(Yb/tre)is 99.99%,and the evaporation rate of ytterbium metal is 98.35%.The secondary residual powder in crucible bottom was analyzed by scanning electron microscope.Impurities are mainly Yb and oxides of Al and Fe.
