The specialty of medical laboratory technology is highly practical.Enhancing the theoretical basis and practical ability of medical laboratory students is not only the main goal of modern vocational education,but also the basis for the better development of medical laboratory specialty.This paper analyzes the significance and requirements of the medical laboratory skill competition for the training of medical laboratory technology professionals.Through combining the skill competition,revising the professional talent training scheme,strengthening the teaching of basic theoretical knowledge and professional skill training,remarkable results have been achieved in improving professional skills.
