Research on Character Segmentation of License Plate Image Based on Vertical Projection Segmentation

车牌是车辆的唯一标识,其特殊性及重要性决定了车牌识别系统成为智能交通管理系统中不可或缺的重要组成部分。本文设计了一种基于垂直投影分割法的车牌图像的分割研究,该分割法经过大量实验证明了其在准确率方面的优越性。

License plate is the only identification of vehicle,and its particularity and importance determine that license plate recognition system becomes an indispensable part of intelligent traffic management system.In this paper,a license plate image segmentation method based on vertical projection segmentation is designed.A large number of experiments have proved its superiority in accuracy.
