“篷子客”是古时流落云南的“罗姆人”——吉卜赛人后裔的别称,曾生活在云南大理、保山、临沧一带,今已消失在云南境内。此文为杨放先生遗作,记载了20世纪50年代“篷子客”歌手陶桂花、何小玉所演唱的歌曲。杨先生称其为“篷子客调”,共有“九板十八腔”“七十二调”“大曲”“小曲”四类,罗姆人虽为吉普赛人后裔,但汉化程度较深,所唱曲目均为汉族音乐。

“Pengzike”is also known as the descendants of Gypsies or“Roma”who moved to and lived in Yunnan in ancient times.They used to live in Dali,Baoshan,and Lincang in Yunnan,but now they are no longer found anywhere in Yunnan.This article is a posthumous work of Mr.YANG Fang,which mainly records the songs sung by TAO Guihua and HE Xiaoyu,singers of“Pengzike”in the 1950s.
