The most important function of political ceremony is to present some political significances.During the National Day Celebrations in the early days of the People's Republic of China,the Communist Party of China actively organized representatives of ethnic minorities to participate in the National Day Celebrations in Beijing.These representatives promoted the construction of a new type of ethnic relations by participating in such National Day Celebrations as reception banquets,military parades,gift-and-flag presentation,and visits.The interpretation of this political ceremony with political symbols and symbolic theories clearly reveals that the National Day Celebrations helped catalyze the drastic changes in the psychological,emotional and ideological dimensions of ethnic minority representatives,which played an important role in promoting the ethnic minority people to help consolidate the new political power,realize political mobilization and reach a political consensus.These representatives participation in the National Day Celebrations in Beijing promoted the comprehensive development of the ethnic work in the early days of the People's Republic of China,and was an important way to build the image of a unified and multi-ethnic country.
