揭示世界文明演进的一种推力--中法关系史研究四十年述评

A Thrust to Reveal the Evolution of World Civilization--A Review of Forty Years of Research on the History of Sino-French Relations

概述和点评改革开放四十年来中国中法关系史研究的主要成果,认为成就主要体现在这几个问题上:一是首次注意到了13世纪中叶来华的法王和教皇使臣的有关记述的特殊重要性,并进行了译介;二是深入探讨了17至18世纪中法科技交流对中国科学现代化的奠基作用,以及对西方乃至整个人类科技进步的促进作用;三是大幅度深化了有关中国文化对欧洲启蒙运动和法国大革命影响的研究;四是开始注意到清末以来法国革命文化对中国革命进程的积极影响,并做了许多初步的探析。这些研究进一步凸显了中法文化交流在推动世界文明进步方面的特殊意义。

This article summerizes and comments the main results of China’s historiography on Sino-French relations since the reform and opening-up of the country in 1978.The achievements could be reduced to the following aspects:firstly,the importance of the travel notes of two envoys sent by Louis IX and Pope to China in the mid-13th century was noticed and analysed,and the texts translated into Chinese,for the forst time;secondly,the foundation role to the Chinese scientific modernization played by the Sino-French science and technology exchange during the 17th and 18th centuries,and the promoting effects of the same exchange to the scientific and technologic progress of the West and even of the whole world were deeply examined;thirdly,the research of the influence of the traditional Chinese culture on the European Enlightenment and the French Revolurion in the 18th century was deepened greatly;fourthly,the impacts of the French revolutionary culture on the Chinese Revolution in the 20th century since the late Qing Dynasty began to be noticed and explored seriouly.These researches further highlighted the exordinary meaning of the Sino-French cultural exchange in promoting the progress of the world civilization.
